Email still works — if you do it right.
Most realtors send emails that look like flyers. Generic subject lines, one big property image, and a bunch of info that sounds like a listing sheet. But here’s the truth: people don’t read sales emails — they respond to human ones.
If you’re tired of ghosted leads, here are three ways to make your real estate emails work like a quiet lead machine in the background.
1. Use subject lines that sound like texts
Forget “🏡 Just Listed!” or “Market Update – April 2025.”
Try something that starts a conversation instead:
- “This one’s perfect for you…”
- “Would you live here?”
- “Want to see something off-market?”
You’re not trying to sell in the subject — you’re trying to get the click.
2. Speak like you’re 1:1
Your leads don’t want a newsletter — they want to feel like you’re writing just to them.
Even if you’re sending a bulk email, you can still say:
“I just previewed this listing and immediately thought of you — it’s got the backyard we talked about.”
Little details make a big difference.
3. End with a low-pressure CTA
Skip the “Contact me today!” push. Try something more natural:
- “Want me to send the full walkthrough?”
- “Need help comparing this one to others?”
- “I’ve got a couple similar listings if you’re curious — just reply ‘yes.’”
Calls-to-action that sound like conversations convert better than commands.
